A few cards inside were damaged - luckily it wasn't an expensive box of stuff, but still. The buyer and I worked out a quick resolution and life goes on. Se la vie'.

So many comments.....better to just say nothing
It wasn't raining that hard, there was just 3 feet of water in my street acting like a lake. With the snow from ealier it looked like the arctic, iceburgs floating around etc. I had my kid looking out the window for polar bears, luckily none were sighted.
FINISHED 12/8/2008!!!

<< <i>I hate it at the post office when they ask if a bubble mailer is fragile, liquid or parashable, I say fragile but the guy still chucks the envelope into a bin 10 feet away. >>
lol, same here.

I mailed a $300 electronic device once, large and about 30 pounds - postal carrier on their end 'tossed it over the fence' in the backyard, where they found it after it quit raining two days later.
Their postmaster put it in a large, clear plastic bag (like a garbage bag) and mailed it back to me. Instead of a rectangular box, it now looked like a giant basketball.
My postmaster walked in, looked at the package, and said, "I'll go cut you a check".
Say what you will about the postal service, but I've never had problems with claims with them. The liars at UPS, however, are another story...
<< <i>i always hope i don't get anything the day its pouring outside. you never know what your going to get. >>
