Here's the auction description:

A few tiny little marks but otherwise this looks like it was just made yesterday and razor sharp details! Stored for years in it's cellophane sleeve!

SEE THE PHOTOS

A VERY NICE COIN

Price paid: $112

Thanks for posting, Bill. The chunk out of Lincoln's shoulder was pretty well hidden in his pics. Didn't you also purchase a Large Cent from him, like an 1818?

I guess relative to the size of a glacier, those are tiny marks.

So, Bill, now that you have them in hand, what are you going to do?
    Keep? Try to return?

From the photos (and, yes, not to rub it in, but your pics need a little work image (so do mine though)), it looks like creative/deceptive imagery was done.

That's a heck of a planchet flaw on Lincoln's shoulder and I could imagine it would only make the coin much more difficult to sell or make it a bag candidate at a TPG.

Looks corroded and dipped, and what's with that chunk out of the shoulder?

I'd return it if at all possible.

Nope, these are the only 4 I bought from him.

Only 4? image I do hope you have some recourse to recover what you spent. Otherwise, consider it very expensive tuition.

ouch Bill, I think you took a beating on this one, and seller is manipulating his pics, just as suspected here by many.....

The flaws on the lincoln are clearly visible enough on the sellers pics to raise the alarm! I usually spend a little time to study the pics (if clear) before I even consider a purchase. In the case of this seller, whom I dont think is being intentionally deceptive, and many others to come, please be CAUTIOUS with your online purchases and do a little study first!

I think you may be in the minority there.

whom I dont think is being intentionally deceptive

    I disagree

there is no way from the photo to tell there is a big chunk missing from the shoulder

the guys lighting makes the coins have much more luster than they have

the shadows 'conveniently' hide the biggest defects
