The end of another good thing. DSL's cheap shipping on multiple items.

It used to be $8 for three or more items. Now $4 for the first one and $2 for every item after that. Another money saving thing in the hobby gone.

I think 4SC is similiar in their shipping charges.

Not sure $8 for 3 cards is what I would call "money saving" but I guess compared to $2 each add'l, it's not bad. I should raise my shipping. $2.50 for the first card, 50 cents each add'l until $5 then you get priority up to a pound. I'm leaving money on the table...

i've been purchasing quite a bit of '74 topps from their 4sc & four_sharp_corners this year & honestly can't complain about their s/h. perhaps since i am buying in bulk & for uber-cheap prices for psa 9's, i mentally justify the $9.25 s/h charges.

how many threads are stored in the cu database about this topic too?

i still think they are a tremendous asset to set collectors though, maybe if you're buying in bulk though, not just a couple of cards.

i agree with that julen. nothing like seeing that big box from 4SC and knowing you saved a bunch in shipping costs. dsl still has a pretty liberal settling up policy. several weeks without a hassle. they also switched from auction helper to vendio.

Overall they know they will get an average lower bid on their cards. This additional shipping is to offset Ebay FVF.

This will become a trend with everyone. Shipping and "handling" will become higher.

And so will the onslaught of victorious negative fb in the coming months, without retaliation.

3 cards is not but you could buy 100 over a 3 week period and it would be the same $8 charge in the past

I have an email into DSL asking them to clarify their new SH policy.

    Will advise if/when I get a response.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

I got stung by DSL recently also. Bid on and won 11 cards expecting previously charged shipping and got an invoice from their new billing software (vendio) with shipping of $24. I had to double check the auctions to see what happened......and yes that is their new rate as noted for each auction item I won, $4 for first item, #2 for each additional....too late for me to do anything about the recent purchases but will be very wary of them in future...they're charging too much....I ship almost 100 graded cards in a flat rate box for $8.95.....don't understand. al.
  • Are they going to accept credit cards now?

before the reason it was a good deal was that you could wait a month, and then send payment for all the cards you won for 8 shipping.
