I took my aluminum cans to the local scrap dealer today. I also took some of my detecting finds that I have found over the years. I put any found lead in Milk cartons and have some popcorn tins for the copper and brass. I ended up with 36 pounds of lead (wheel weights, sinkers etc) $12, 7 pounds of brass $7, and 4 pounds of copper $12. I know alot of people just pitch this stuff when they find it but it does add up and doesn't take up that much space. I also save all of the pull tabs and but them in one of the aluminum calls till it's full and then start another one.

    real good idea...i save all the fishing weights i find and bet i have at least 50 lbs worth, and i probably gave more than that away, not anymore though...hh
