  • Lee,

Hit up Rube for a little bit of C4, put it in a bubble mailer with a remote trigger device and leave in your mailbox for him to pick up. Watch from the window of your house and when the carrier picks it up detonate the device. It should blow off a few digits rendering him incapable of being a postal worker. Plus he will get disability and his pension and be able to pay his bills and you will get a new postal carrier. Its a win-win in my book and you will save the $100 a year on a PO box and not have to deal with the hassle of driving to the PO to pick up your treasures. Thank me later

  • You'd also hope he had mild amnesia and forgot who's mailbox he had his hand in when it went off, otherwise you'll get nailed for attempting to blow up a postal worker. image

My mailman rocks, besides being a catcher for me on a few teams over the years, he has just inherited some cards from an uncle and wants me to get them graded and sell for him.

I can't wait to see what he has.

    Good for you.

I honestly dont care one way or the other, but if the Pats LOSe then i wont have to deal with a silly parade in Boston, on election day. ugh!

Hopefully the Red Sox will have a parade on "real" election day in November, keep all THOSE folks AWAY from the polls
  • My mail carrier has a complex about closing mail boxes. I have never had a day where the box is not partially opened, even on rainy days.
  • Since the post office is right up the road, PO Box all the way for me. I have had enough packages stolen over the years when the mail man hangs them from the box, and kids smashing the boxes when they are out for fun on a Saturday night.

Only downside is the fee and making to the PO before they close, but this is not a problem on most days and the benefits far outweigh the inconveinience.

    Nuts,

You should have went with a private box from a Mail Box etc., type operation. With the PO you'll have to stand in line to get oversized packages that are to big for your box and UPS/FEDEX (or one of these two) will not deliver to a PO box. Also the private places maintain longer hours and if you find a good one, they probably call you when a package your looking for does arrive.

Tree, that's a fantastic idea and I didn't think of it, but the fact that the PO is 3 blocks from my house and there isn't a MBE anywhere close by makes it tough to go that route. Plus I have no problem with UPS or FedEx delivering to my house- I have an enclosed porch and nothing has ever been nabbed so far. My whole goal here is to get my valuables out of the hands of a crazy person, so mission accomplished I guess. Thanks for the advice though.

Whatever works. Its just the opposite for me. PO is further away.

The guy that runs the Mail Box etc., I use is Johnny on the spot, but I have caught him shiffing my packages more than once. Says he likes bubble gum....yeah, right!
