The 72 Dolphins get to pop some corks afterall!

Congrats to the Giants... a great game for any football fan, but especially Dolphin fans to be sure. The 1972 team remains the only perfect team in NFL history.

The Pats had a good year, but in the second half of the season they were outplayed more than they outplayed the other team. Philly, San Diego, NY Giants, Ravens (Ref screw) among others, it was only a matter of time

I hate the Giants and I despise the Mannings, but what a hell of an ending. I am happy for the underdog.

i second that, because i can remember them,i watched 1st 5minutes of bowl and flipped to mash till tom petty came on - same score still - looks like only exciting part was last 5 minutes of the game, could have went either wayimage
  • Patriots had a great year, but once again sport shows that underdogs can wins and the team with the most talent does not always come out on top. I am glad to see Randy Moss come up short as before this year he had been the poster boy for what is wrong with pro-athletes.

Congrats to the Manning family. Back to back super bowls is an awesome feat, and I am sure we will be inundated with Peyton/Eli commercials for the next year.

  • A great night for the Manning family.

The main reason I was rooting for the Pat's was to once and for all make the '72 Dolphins irrelevant. I am so sick of them popping the cork every year.

Oh well, now it's time for my Ram's to get going for next year! Come out of nowhere and win the super bowl!

As a Dolphins fan, this was very sweet. I agree that Mercury Morris is an opinionated and arrogant SOB which is why ESPN keeps shoving a microphone in his face all of the time. However, the 1972 Dolphins have a lot of class people as well in players like Paul Warfield and Bob Griese.

I refuse to say that I feel bad for a guy who has enjoyed the success that he has enjoyed. However, the way he has gone out the past 2 seasons is pretty rough.

That is a great commercial. This was the Pats one shot, as there is a good possibility Moss and Stallworth will not be back next year so the Offense may take a step back.

Mercury Morris needs to just stop and have himself a nice glass of STFU!

I watched him middle of this year on ESPN and I actually enjoyed him. Then for the next 10 weeks I had to listen to him put the Patriots down every chance he got. His ugly mug was on everything ESPN produced and the radio. I was hoping the Pats would win just so I wouldn't have to listen to any of the 72 Dolphins ever again. So I either have to hope someone else does it next year, or nobody is undefeated come week 5.

    Great game though.

By the way, Shockey is a monkey's a$$
