Yeah It's 1) "Rare"; 2) A PSA 10 and 3) Of A Popular Player ... But $9,000?!

Yeah, it a 1998 Playoff Contenders Peyton Manning Auto PSA 10 (arguably his "best") card, but NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS? Wow.

Could someone provide the POP on a PSA 9 and PSA 10 for this card?

Peyton Manning Going For $9,000.00

    Nice faded auto! image

That card would have been ok if it were a solid bold autograph.

Yeah I watched the same card..............I am stunned that it went for that much.

Raw copies have been selling really well recently. Granted, some are probably shill bids, but $3K for raw condition has been the minimum. In addition, it is his best card from his rookie year, even if the collecting world doesn't call it a rookie card. At a population of 200 it is hands down Peyton's most desired card.

PSA has been pretty generous with their grades on that card so I'd stay away from it. For a card so condition sensitive PSA has handed out quite a few 9s and even 10s. My thoughts when I saw the card was in regards to how it got a 10 with all of that white on the edges.

How could that card get a 10? From the scan the edges look rough.

Is this card even serial numbered? If not, do you know how many exist?

It's not serial numbered. Apparently the production numbers were released by the company.

Isnt that seller Andy Tuttle??? Is he connected to Joe Tuttle in any way? Lots of high dollar(and not necessarily nice for the grade) cards coming from Consignments from Sunny Florida lately.

That's a bargain compared to some of the prices I've seen on the Brady Contenders in the same condition.
