A new look for ilikecoins.com!

We have finally completed redesigning ilikecoins.com. It has a much more professional look, and improved features including easier search functionality and broader want list criteria. We are still in our free period- no seller fees of any kind until March 1, so, if you're a seller, the site is free to sell on until then. Check us out today!

    Some suggestions:

    Main page:

    1. Looking at the front page, when a listing doesn't have an image, the words "submit query" are put in place of the thumbnail image. This means absolutely zilch to someone who isn't a techgeek.

    2. When someone submits a listing, generate an actual thumbnail image rather than simply displaying the fullsize image with small width and height tags. The way you're currently doing it slows down page rendering immensely and if and when the site gets going your bandwidth bill will suffer for needless fullsize image loading. Also, by resizing the images so far they are heavily artifacted; actual thumbnail images would look clearer. Seriously, the page loading on your site is incredibly slow for the amount of information that is actually displayed.

    3. The script font for "preserving and promoting..." is incredibly unreadable.

    4. You're using too many different types of fonts between the text and the image headers. It doesn't look cohesive. Use at most 2 font families, 1 for heads and 1 for text. Use them consistently and don't mix them.

    5. Department of redundancy department: Get rid of the "View" link and make the title of the listing a link instead.

    Individual listings:

    6. The "Help!" icon looks incredibly amateurish. Also, clicking on said help icon not only pops up a window but also reloads the current page. Not necessary.

    7. In the help window that opens, place a "Close Window" button and give it focus so the user only has to hit the spacebar to close that window.

    8. What is the little flag next to the userID? Clicking on it does nothing. It has no context.

    9. The "View" icon next to the "SSR" (whatever that is) is not clickable, unlike all the other icons on the site that looks like that. What is it?

    Registering:

    10. When registering, you're sending people off to some other domain: https://787900.web001.whp.server-hosting.com. What is that and why isn't registration being done under your own domain name?

    11. Your cute little "SSL" icon is unnecessary and reeks of 1995.

    12. That registration form is fugly. There is no need for all fields to take up the width of the entire page. It's hard to read.

    13. Choose a different and larger window size for the "Help" screen that opens from that page.

    Other:

    14. Make the banner image across the top a link to the site homepage.

    15. When you go to "View Feedback" a lookup list of members would be handy in case you've forgotten the exact spelling.

I don't mean to seem harsh, but some of these things definitely need fixing...

Just chose 'Dollar' for the denomination, but only 'Any' is an option in the pull-down for type. Actually 'Any' seems to be the only option for type of any denomination.
What is 'AA', 'Q' 'B' & 'H' after some of the early dates? Might be showing some of my ignorence on early date coins. image
