Would You Buy Morgans?

With silver near $16.50/oz would you buy morgans now? Yes I know it depends on the price, but at what price would you consider to buy at...if at all?
I love morgans and might have a chance to buy some around $11-$12 each.
Yes they're just melt morgans.

There's $12.70 in Silver, at $11 or $12 I'd say buy...
Silver is due for a bump in my opinion...

Newly graded MS65 Morgans by PCGS only.
Not only are the prices depressed but these new ms65's being graded by PCGS are MS66's a couple of years ago.
You win on both sides (price and quality) as both are due to appreciate.

That said, if you can buy low and sell high then, obviously, you should go for it.
<< <i>Although I understand the point of your question...the price of silver would be irrelevant to me if I wanted to buy Morgan Dollars. I'd buy the coin because of its value as a collectable - rarity, history, condition, etc - not for its silver content.

Yes I agree and I buy morgans for the reasons you stated. The silver content is a bonus to me. But it's always nice to know they hold their value in silver too.
Earlier last year I bought 35 or so morgans when silver was $8/oz, but I can never have enough especially if the price is right.
Blu62vette I love looking/show and tell with the morgans. When I was young my grandfather had a couple bags of morgans he saved from the early 1900s. Maybe 50-100. I've loved them ever since then when he showed them to me, but he sold them in the early 80s when silver shot through the roof and now I can't get enough. I know it's bad.
