1945 MS Red Lincoln from my recent roll find

UtahCoinUtahCoin Posts: 5,366 ✭✭✭✭✭
The quality of the coins in the 1945 rolls are far better than in the 1946 rolls. I think the 1945 rolls might even have a 67 or 2. Here's one that is pretty nice.

IMO, it's a solid 66 from the pics, but could be better since the lighting pics up every single spec on that coin.

NGC 67, PCGS 66 although the obverse is a lock 67. I agree, it's worth $18 for the lottery ticket.

Despite a bit of die erosion that is a very nicely hammered coin as well.

I'm putting a pcgs order together as we speak. I would guess about 50 coins are going in. I would think this would merit a Triple You Suck... image

I'll deduct one "you suck" for the $10.00, leaving the other 999. Let us know where we'll be able to buy the Utah Bank Hoard!

Again, the 1945 cents are much more common than 1946s. Your return on your money will be better served slabbing the 1946-1953s. You may want to send in the best of the 45s for your set. Just MHO.

That kind of pricing is just out-of-control whack-a-doodle.

you should sort out the baggy coins and send in the remainder as a bulk submission. specify a minimum grade of 66.
