  A 1795 $5 and 1795 $10. Picked up both in an auction half a dozen years ago or so. Both AU or better details though not slabbed. In addition have a small early cent collection with my prizes being a 1794 starred reverse and a pair of 1793 chain cents. Oh, there is a Fugio somewhere and a pine tree colonial, though that one would be pre-U.S., though definitely American. Also have a registry set of early dollars. Most recent 1700s acquisition was a 1792 half disme, also not slabbed.

  used to own a 1799 dollar (PCGS VF-35, OGH). That coin has since found a good home.

  I love all these responses. As I write this there have been 65 responses to the poll and just over 3/4 of you own at least one pre-1800 coin....and a couple don't yet, but would like to (I've since added that option as an answer). To each his own when it comes to coin collecting, but personally I love the pre-1800 coins for the history they contain. For me, it's a living piece of history.

  Positive BST transactions with: too many names to list! 36 at last count.

  I answered "one or two," but I actually have three. Three did not seem like "many."
  
  I have a 1793 1/2 cent in ANACS G-4; a 1796 Liberty Cap 1 cent in NGC-6, and my prize coin: a 1799 S-189 Large cent in PCGS F-12.

  I used to own my icon, a 1799 $10 in MS61, but now only a 1798 $1 in VF-30. But it's an original, never dipped beauty.

  I own about thirty US large cents, from 1793 to 1798 (most are dated 1798). Low grades, all are F2 to VG. Three half cent too (one 1793, two 1797s).

  I do have an unholed Draped Bust cent that was a metal detector find, and it could be from the 1700s, but unfortunately, it is too far gone to tell. I made the mistake of trying to clean it with electrolysis after I dug it, and accidentally "fried" it- it's toast, now. A totally featureless, pockmarked slug. When I dug it you could see Liberty's hair bow and parts of the wreath and LIBERTY and so on, enough to ID the type.

  I own half dimes from 1794, 1795, 1796, and 1797. I would own more, but unfortunately they did not mint half dimes in 1798 or 1799.
