New 1827 bustie for the 'chaser

My mail today included a new example of 1827 O-112 even though I already owned 2 examples (one was SUPOSED TO BE 113 
). Why did I buy another?
Because it was this one from Stewart Witham by way of Russ Logan.
No edge pics yet, but I will post later. By the way, just as the description says the coin is MUCH darker than the pics.

Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

In 1827 there were 28 Obverse Dies & 34 Reverse Dies which produced 49 different Die Marriages. Do you have all the marriages?
...what's wrong with 3 examples of the 1827 O-112?
Heck get 6 or 12 or 18.
Then study the die usage on the coins and put them in order of die wear.
Next write an article about them and their die wear.
This could be a lot of fun.

Not quite. I am missing the 3 obvious ones--137,147, and 148. Short of a cherry tree falling on top of me I won't ever get there. I did happen to cherry my 124 from a local shop so I guess it could happen. (Yeah, right. I'm not exactly holding my breath.)

I have 3 1812 O.107 examples and am SLOWLY getting ready to do what Ed is talking about, fully knowing that Brad Karoloff has already put out a nice article on this die marriage in an earlier JRCS article. I'm interested in the progression of the evident sequence of no clash, one clash, two clashes to three clashes. It might take a few more years but it will be a rewarding, fun experience.
