FUN is over for me now... I went 2 for 4
Speaking from the "virtual" perspective as I'm not able to attend the big shows I just watch via computer from afar; the show was another learning experience for me.
I had originally picked out 2 lots and decided to bid strong as last year my bids were "so-so" and I didn't win anything. I set my proxies for the two lots with pretty high hopes of landing at least one if not both of them.
Both of the lots were in the seated series, one a quarter and the other a half.... and for those of you that know me have already figured out they were both 1853's.
Well... my "strong" bids weren't strong enough as I was soundly beaten out. Such is life.
After missing out on the seated stuff I decided to revisit the gem early Commems. There were a couple of coins there that caught my eye.
I set proxies for both coins at prices that probably weren't that strong. They just went off at the auction in the last couple of hours and my "so-so" bids won both coins.
I didn't really watch the other early commems so I don't know how pricing for the series has done.
They may not be "stunners"; but I'm really looking forward to receiving them. Hopefully they will nicely compliment what I have going already. Comments good or bad welcome.

Hall, Guth at FUN 2008 PCGS Luncheon
Hall offered one recommendation on numismatic investing. “Silver commemoratives are undervalued in today’s market,” he stated.

According to the Village Idiot, that means you are not a true collector.

I went 2 for 20 but the end result is the same, I can't wait to get them.
