Answer: Crusty

Question: what happens when you spend the last 110 years in a Royal Mint paper flip?

picked this up yesterday, and I love the crusty toning on it.

Almost every one I have seen has that crusty look...

    The Mint Flip explains it.

Overpaid?? That fuzzy envelope makes it worth it........This one scores on the Fatman Scale™ for coolness.

yeah, the "overpaid" was kinda' tongue-in-cheek. I'm satisfied with the price for the overall look. I have four more of these 1897 Victorian commem. mini-medals, three of which have their Royal Mint flip as shown. None however are this crusty, just nice toning. They all have their charm however.

    22 BUCKS?!?

    Arggh, you really DO suck.

I will not... no no no no!

Thou shalt not tempt me to go astray!

The pull of exonumia seems to have been especially strong, lately. At my last show, in Charlotte back in March, that ended up being the one thing I could find, afford, and actually liked. I even bought some pieces.

But I'm not collecting them. No no no no. image
