While I collect these things and have made quite a few myself, I'm certainly not in Russ' category.
Having said that, I think it's on the high side. I wouldn't pay that.
I'd like to see what PCGS would give it, 66 DCAM wouldn't surprise me.
Interesting that he doesn't post a picture of the reverse.
Now Russ can come along and tell me I'm off base. If so, I'm fine with that.
Or he may agree with me, who knows? Either way, I'm fine with that, education is a good thing.
*Edit: OK he beat me to it while I was looking at the auction in posting mode.*
"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose." John Marnard Keynes, The Economic Consequences of the Peace, 1920, page 235ff
i'm not russ either but if that was a pcgs 67 dcam graded a/h... i don't think rick would of listed it with a $2,800. buy it now nor would it of been still for sale if he did ;-)

<< <i>Do you run across many of these???? >>
Many? No. But I have handled several in this grade, as well as three of the NGC PF68UCAMs.

<< <i>Would the AH Kennedys be in the redbook were in not for Russ? >>
Sounds like a nice compliment for Russ.
Russ, thanks for the skinny on this issue!!

They were in the Redbook long before I came along.
Now, if I could just get them to add the Birthmark Die.
