I wanted to submit these quarters for grading so I could sell them on eBay for more money.
What would you do ?

When someone says you get the item pictured, then sends a 'picture' of the item you think that is ok?
The scammer kept insisting that she wrote: you get a photo of the phones, yet when pushed to show exactly where she stumbled.

<< <i>It's good to see a scammer get what was coming to them, but I find it annoying that Judge Judy had absolutely no knowledge of how eBay works. Despite the fact that selling pictures of a cell phone was probably done to try and deceive someone, if there was actually no eBay violation, and it truly did state it was just a "picture" of a phone, and it was clearly stated that there was no return policy, then technically the defendent here should not be guilty. >>
Maybe in crimminal court, but aren't the TV judge shows civil? Meaning the judge can trump legalities with rightful moralities.
Jerry
Sometimes "rightful moralities" do get trumped by the letter of the law.

Link doesn't work for me... but if it's the same one I saw on TV last year, the scammer's listing indicates the product weighs 4 oz.

Never view my other linked pages. They aren't coin related.
Judge Judy went by the letter and intent of the law. Anyone who takes $400 from a buyer and send them a picture is an outright thief. I bet she gets a visit from Child Protective Services and maybe the IRS.
I hope the defendant winds up in criminal court and goes to jail.
And that's all I'm going to say about that.
white trash baby makers. hahahahahahahahahahahaha check out the one with skitzo this guy is a singer and pukes on people hahahahahaha
thanks for the new funniest thread of 08 so far... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
IMHO anyone who thinks what the defendant was "technically" not dishonest and did not act with an intent to defraud has a strong magnet attached to the bottom of their moral compass.
This was one of her best decisions ever.
Ya gotta love they way she goes after welfare and child support cheats.

<< <i>JJ always makes the right ethical call, though I am not 100% convinced that all of her decisions would stand up against the letter of civil law.

It's showbiz. And she doesn't need writers. Expect to see her in prime time.
Actually I think she does try to follow the law, as is practical in a 10 minute bench hearing. Judges have never been required to turn in their common sense when they put on the robe.
oops, i'm a little slow on the key board
