interesting error found on 2000P Lincoln - it's called the EXTRA BEARD Lincoln (see just below ear) - seems like Lincoln has a few extra hairs hanging from his beard - currently at CONECA for evaluation and attribution - your thoughts on what it could be??

Just posted these to another old thread as well. My last two purchases of 2007, the first coin is a tapered planchet, second coin a rim clip.

Some great errors have been posted on this thread.
CaptainRon - You have great taste in IH errors. Your Capped Die 1859 reminds me of Chris Pilliod's 1864 Capped Die that graced the cover of Longacre's Ledger December 2001. A great article about it in that ledger by Ken Hill with nice b/w images.
And your 1862 Die Cap sunburst was the subject of a thread of mine years back. It jumped 2 grades into that NGC slab Link.
I think the IHC is from a old Stacks auction - coin didn't meet reserve. AU58, if my memory is correct.

Thanks Broadstruck!!!!! I own many, many broadstruck coins.
I collect major errors like the one I posted and have a great deal of knowledge about major errors. I look forward to a new forum for me... as I wont post on another well known forum and got banned from another one.
I've never banned anyone except spammers and porn peddlers, so you're welcome to join either of the bulletin boards I host. They are the Error Coin Information Exchange

LOL, I make errors all the time, but that is not why I was banned.
