I have never seen this type of slab/holder before

Cool but not sure how it protects the coin

The point is to keep the coin in it's original holder. I think however that the coin should be fine so long as it isn't shaken up and down a lot. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think NGC does grade guarantees on those and GSA dollars?

Now I've seen it all. NGC holder seals in for all time the nasty gases and other stuff that fog/cloud/milk-spot so many '71-S Silver Ikes left in their Government packaging when there is absolutely no reason to leave that packaging intact. Oh, well, to each his/her own.... Rob

I think that NGC does this type of grading for the GSA Morgan film holders as well?

Anyone ever see these, or post a picture of them?

Those are the same holders PMG (NGC sister currency company) use to seal and grade notes.

It looks exactly what PMG uses. If it's sealed like them the coin inside shouldn't
move around....much. They're also pretty dang sturdy.

Looks like the type of holder they use for Currency grading.
