Well, it's Official!
My 13th ranked Washington Quarter Registry Set (Circulation Strikes 32-64) is SOLD and RETIRED!
Boom's Quarters now belongs to someone else. I will respect the owner-to-be's privacy by keeping his Name Private. Whether he wishes to step forward or not is entirely his call.
As a collector, selling this set is NOT a pleasant experience. We are only our coins' custodians. Many were here before I was born and will still be long after I am gone. I recall endless cherry picking & untolled man hours spent hunting for coins that had to have that "just right" look. I detest UGLY coins and as such, many so-called higher graded coins inevitably were sent back.
This set contains many Pedigreed coins (coins of provenance).... coins that had been parts of previous Top 5 All Time Greatest Registry sets. Some are from All Time Greatest sets that the owner(s) chose NOT to have "Pedigreed."
Being all have been in their respective holders for years, there is ZERO chance of any of them "turning" in the slabs. They are all well "seasoned". I am thoroughly convinced that many here have bonafide shots at re-grading higher. Many an experienced eye has seen these spectacular pieces, in person, and agree that they are very PQ and should be regraded.
The New Owner can verify the aforementioned statement as he has seen each and every coin, in hand!
It's been fun and man, what a run!
Here are just a few pix.
ENJOY!

At present it seems I may have a Buyer, whose identity I will respect by not making known.
The deal has just about been consumated. A few more communication and the actual exchange is all that is lacking.
In the interim I will leave everything as is, for all to see. Simply go the the Registry and view the closeups in any or all of my showcases.
In the event this somehow does not pan out, I will let you all know but for all intents and purposes, at present it appears to be SOLD.
We shall see.
Thanks just the same.

dammit.
This IS NOT just the sale of some coins ... these 83 coins are an extension of ME.
Whereas most collectors build sets starting with the easier coins first, I believe in building a strong core first.
The keys in this set are as strong as any I've ever seen, anywhere, in any and ALL Grades.
I don't HAVE to or NEED to sell ... BUT ..... Money talks!
I may take on another series and or build another Registry set.
How about those LSU Tigers!
I may add more pix later however all may be viewed in the Registry as well as my Showcases.
Selling this set is akin to losing part of someones' Family! I Believe that MOST here know exactly what I mean!
It's been fun and I wish the next Owner "All the Best."
ttt
I'm sure you've got something else in mind. What's next?
THAT would be an EXTREME BUMMER!
That must have been a labor of love putting those together.
Brilliant set of quarters.
