Fake Thomas Patch Card

This guy was once known as Federal Hill...I've been trying to get this thing pulled for a week, but no luck. Then the tool bag made the auction private, so I can't even warn the individuals.

My god!! That is an obvious one! Patch cards are hot on ebay with buyers, and scammers.

So what is the scam details? They pull the real GU patch out of the card and substitute a junk one? What do they do with the real patch?

Yes, they rip it right out and put a more desirable looking patch in it's place.

In this case, all 150 or so of the cards made should be a plain white away jersey with one or two pinstripes.

If you read the bottom it says "Authentic Game Worn Jersey," not "Game Worn Patch."

Beyond that, it was a sloppy job.

Correct. You beat me to it. There is none like that one shown. Most of them were a solid jersey cut. People pay alot more money for nice looking patches. Its actually not hard to do. I have seen alot of fake patches in the last couple of months.

it wouldnt be that hard to sew it either, i could do that on my embroidery machine,guess thats what he does,i aways get the gu cards of the guy that ends up in ball for a month and then works at pizza hut

I am not big in the game used thing, but some of the rookie cards I pick up are of the game used variety. I will not bid on anything with a "premium" patch for this very reason... too easy to fake and too many fakers.
