July 29th, 1997 was my first account. I was on auctionweb well before that and finally decided to move my id over to Ebay. I think I'm on my 8th account now.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

This wasn't my first account. I moved from my old house in August 1997 and I know I was on ebay for awhile in that house. I remember when there were only a couple thousand items (or less) on ebay at any given time. At the time, I was into stamps, and I could easily run through all of the auctions in the stamps category (around 140). On their homepage, ebay used to give a total dollar amount of all auctions ever on ebay. I believe the total was under $200,000. At this point, I believe it was still two people in their basement.
Collector of 1976 Topps baseball for some stupid reason. Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason. My Pirates Collection
I guess I got a late start compared to many of you. A guy at work told me I should check out all of the cards. A year and several thousand dollars later he compared himself to a crack dealer giving someone their first hit.
So far, in this thread (not the one referred to in the old thread), it looks like I have the furthest back......July 17, 1996. 754 feedback 100% rating.

One negative came from a buyer because I would not send the item first before he sent payment. The other 2 were retaliation for negatives I left.
