Even though they slabbed many more across the street, I always read of PCGS slabbed ASE's milk spotting. Is any one having milk spotting problems with the NCG slabbed ASE's?

this issue has also been discussed ATS where they have graded many more of these, and they are not having the same problems. There was a couple posters that had a couple that spotted, but the vast majority were fine. Don't know why PCGS would have a much worse problem with having this happen.
That truly IS a shame and it's sad to think that one should have to dip and "prep" a brand new Eagle to prevent the spotting associated with the PCGS process and for the record, this spotting is NOT confined to just ASE as I have had Washington Silver Quarter Proofs spot as well as other type silver coins.
I have a very strong hunch as to what is causing this yet without actually viewing the process I cannot be sure. Knowing what I DO know, judging by coins I have had here in my posession that "turned" in their holders etc, I STILL maintain that I have a VERY strong hunch regarding THE culprit.
Being in the grading room exposed to air and other elements sure doesn't help either. Exposure to air I believe only accelerates the process. I have had only one NGC 04 MS 70 slab spot on me. All my other NGC proofs and MS are fine. Though I believe they can equally occur on both PCGS and NGC slabs.
No, the wearing of gloves and the not wearing of them have nothing to do with spotting and it has nothing to do with location or humid, Pacific Ocean Spray.

Agree. NGC is in a very humid eastern gulf coast Florida Climate and I would suspect that both companies have adequate air conditioning to minimize mopisture inside their buildings.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

If the SAE's are given a quick dip in E-Z-Est followed with a running water rinse and an 91% alcohol dip, they should not develop milk spots.

<< <i>I shall assume that you did not give them a dip prior to submitting them for grading or are these 5 that you purchased ?
