A Crying Shame - Plus My 1000th Post Giveaway! WARNING: SHOCKING PHOTOS! - Winner Announced!

TexastTexast Posts: 1,899 ✭✭✭✭
I got this out of a junk box at an antique store, only cost me a quarter, because it is a quarter, Mangled, banged up, dinged to death, but it is an 1877-S Seated Liberty Quarter. I would hate to even try and sell this for scrap silver, so I will give it away! Just enter your name and on Sunday I'll pick someone at random to win this Gem (SLK definition) Seated Liberty Quarter! image

You can double your chances by posting something uglier than this!

And the winner is: FastRudy

Thanks for the chance! I know I can get something uglier, but I'd have to Photoshop myself on your coin... but I don't have Photoshop.

Well, I'm in for this SUPER giveaway image

Here's something that, in person, is far uglier. (1798/7 Capped Bust Dime)

Would this double my chances? Maybe it's not uglier, but it is pretty close.

I wonder just for fun how ANACS would attribute the details.

They might not have enough space to fit it all. image

Since it won't, I'm just occupying space here.

    Congratulations on 1000.

Thenewguy: That lincoln cent reminds me of Father Guido Sarducci's "Find the Popes in the pizza" contest. You should have a find the president in the pizza contest because that coin looks like a bad frozen pizza.

In. It's ugly alright, but I share you sense of attachment to it. I've got some homely coins, too, but hadn't thought of taking their pic. It's probably one of life's truisms that ugly under any level of magnification is still...ugly.

I'm In I grew up in a time when we bought fillers until you could afford to upgrade. I would rather have a complete collection with a few fillers then an incomplete collection. Thanks Again for the chance at this. I actually just started on seated liberty quarters, I have about 10. Have you thought about just spending it? That would make someones day.
