I need help from the team collectors out there

I am interested in collecting Brooklyn Dodgers cards issued before 1957. Is there a reference that would tell me what cards are out there for a certain team? I know most of the better known Dodgers but where do I find a complete checklist? I know I'm not the only Dodger collector so where do you guys find out what players to look for? Thanks.

    I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

    If you ever need it again, just go to the PSA Set Registry, then click on "team" then CTRL+F to find "Brooklyn" and you're there.

    Or just print those out.

    p.s. after reading the fine print--apparently these baseball checklist books only cover the Topps and Bowman regular issues (and the update editions). I had bought a football checklist from this seller, and the football books covered all the cards including regional/oddball/team issues as well as all the other brands (Donruss, Fleer, Pacific, etc., etc.) when they started coming out.

    I think for this thread, you did save the poster the money, based on what he wants versus what the checklist book would tell him.

    I'll keep an eye out for you Alan. That is one of the cards I am going to get soon. It is one of my favorites. If I get an extra maybe we can work out a trade including one of your Preacher Roe rookies. image

    What a line-up they had that year huh?

    In 1957 those four guys alone put up 92 Home runs!

    If you look on the PSA Registry, I'm pretty certain that there are some Registry sets dedicated to Brooklyn Dodger cards. In fact, here is a link to the "Decade of Dodgers" before their move to LA:

    I always wondered why sets like that are not weighted....
