Rollins NL MVP

I don't get it. I like Rollins but someone who follows him more closely than I do, please explain this to me. East Coast bias? Coors field discount? Defensive prowess?

    Might be more about name recognition. Jimmy Rollins talks alot (though he backs it up). Not sure how many people outside of baseball know Matt Holliday.

    I don't think Rollins is the best player on his own team, much less the league MVP. But they clowns at ESPN and a bevy of sportswriters had been chatting him up for the last month of the season. He won a gold glove at SS, but Omar Vizquel and Troy T. are better fielders. He also made the MOST outs in the NL this season. good job!

    it certainly helped that the phillies made the playoffs.

    Both players contributed mightily to their teams success, but Colorado's drive to the playoffs was no less dramatic than the phillies.

    Holliday led the league in runs created, Xtra base hits, Hits
    , BA and RBI.

    on the road he hit .301 with 55 RBI's. this whole coors field spin is crap. look at these splits:
