I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!

Sometime during this contest, the coin never changed but the status went from modern crap to classic coin just from age alone image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    Mark,

Can I get one more shot at that Jefferson - I really don't think I was at the top of my game last spring image.

I'm sure by now it's nicely toned and much easier to image.

One more trip around the universe so we can all do the reverse, perhaps? image The waiting game is the part of these contests I don't like so much.

Recall the George Clooney movie "O'Brother where 'art Thou"? Methinks eyoung has succombed to the sirens and turned himself and this bright shiny icon from hell into a horney Toad!

    So. Um. Well....WTF?

    image

Wouldn't that be fun if we could see a progression of toning advancing on the coin from the first contestant to the last contestant? Seems plausible considering the amount of time this deal is taking. image

Or the progression of scratches on the slab. By time i got the coin, someone didn't want me to be able to shoot through the scratches image
Want to buy an auction catalog for the William Hesslein Sale (December 2, 1926). Thanks to all those who have helped us obtain the others!!!

I received this coin, attempted to image it, then quickly mailed it off to the next victim.

Seems to me that the slab was pretty scratched up when I received this shiny icon from hell. I'm anxious to see how my crappy images match up to the best! I suppose after 10 months I shouldn't be too impacient. But I do believe that when Mark finally unveils the images and our commentary about attempting to capture said images that this thread will come alive! So Mark, what's the hold up?

I've found these never work very well. I applaud Mark for giving it a shot. I'm sure it's been painful.
