Platinum 2007 Proof vs. Uncirculated-W's

I just graded 2 sets of 2007 proofs and uncirculated-W's. Which coin is harder to obtain in a 70, the proof or the uncirculated?

I believe that the quality of the uncs has been very poor and 70s are thus less common than with the proofs.

That would be my hunch as well, but I haven't obtained my proofs yet, so I have no basis for comparison.

Added: My uncs were better last year, by far. I've always had good quality in my proof orders. For what it's worth.

  • I bought both proofs and uncs and found that my uncs were a better grade than my proofs, but I will always like proofs the best.

My 2007-W UNC $100 Platinum looks perfect under 5X magnification. I don' t see any quality issue with strike or luster. It's a beautiful coin.

I noticed that the dies for the uncs have a lot of microwear and pinpoint luster loss. This along with slight irregularities of inner edge margin seems to consign the vast majority to "69" status. The $100 seems as would be obvious to be the most vulnerable.

So, which coin in a 70 is worth more? The proof or the Unc?
