spread between spot gold and AGE from mint??

it is awfully narrow. I suspect the Mint will cut off sales of gold eagles at any time to reprice them higher.

    as of tuesday morning, before trading, the spread between the mint's price on the one ounce unc AGE and the price of gold is less than $43.

    what is the cost of minting, marketing and packaging, and what spread does the mint need to make a profit?

    right now, the spread is about 5 percent.

    I'd say there going to try and sell these if the price doesn't exceed this level. I don't think they minted these coins in months and are only selling what's in hand so they are in them at much lower gold than the present market and Christmas is upon us soon.
