Why ask why....everyones passion in the numismaitc society should be appreciated and respected......

I really like the solicitation of improvements that PCGS has proposed in response to the many comments that members have submitted. It does show that they are interested in providing a service that is not now offered by them. I do like the services currently offered however I also like the proposals that they have expressed in their recent request for opinions from PCGS members. It is my opinion after reading many member’s suggestions and recommendations, PCGS is truly listening to what customers want and that is what true customer service is really all about. I know that many posts have been made in regards to this solicitation which have been somewhat favorable and also very negative. I solicit to all of you this, “Does anyone really and truly feel these reforms will affect how they view and effectively purchase the coins they want for their collection?” Well I can say personally that it will not as I am a true collector and not a “Hannibal Lector” when it comes to numismatics. You see, that in my true opinion, it all boils down to what the collector sees and not what any third party TPG says. Putting a TPG slab or sticker aside, I purchase what is pleasing to my eye and my eye alone. Can’t we just all get along and make peace in this hobby? We will all never see eye to eye on many aspects of our great hobby and that is the beauty of it all, we have a choice to express that opinion and that alone should be an adequate foundation for this hobby and passion which truly demonstrates our love for numismatics alone. I do know that many may disagree with me but what I have professed is how I truly feel about this hobby which is one that I truly have a strong passion for.

We can't even seem to agree on the most basic definitions such
as exactly what is a coin yet here we all are united in our passion.

We'll never agree on the finer points such as how to grade a well
made coin with a slight rub.
