but silver would not be under any pressure from monetarists. If the economy re-
mains strong or muddles through silver could come under intense upward pressure.
all indications are that silver will move to the low 20's very soon.
not in agreement with the recession theory posted above.
Personally I think the trend is up until the dollar turns around , and unfortunately the dollar trend does not look like it is turning around real soon

I didn't mean to imply that silver would necessarily go down in a recession, merely
that it could and quite probably would. Of course, it would depend on the nature and
severity of the recession. An inflationary recession would result in higher prices but
probably less than necessary to keep abreast of inflation.
Silver is just considered a commodity by large numbers of people. Even silver bulls oft
times see it as nothing much different than nickel or orange juice. From this perspective
there's enough silver in the world to last for decades so no compelling reason to buy it
now; might just as well wait until it's in short supply. But in a strong economy it's a ra-
pidly disappearing asset that is required for a great deal of industrial production. In a
strong economy silver coin is more a means to take a stand in the metal than it is a fif-
teen year supply. With demand continuing a geometric increase one is always left to
wonder when that last thousand ounce bar is going to be shipped. Under these condi-
tions the belief of many investors that silver is also money serves to strenghten the de-
mand.
And I'm sure we all hope it does, been a great ride for a long time. Even the media hasn't been able to talk it down, and lord knows they keep trying
Apropos of the coin posse/aka caca: "The longer he spoke of his honor, the tighter I held to my purse."
I knew it would happen.
<< <i>if you can hold it then keep it and sell when its $18 or $20. because of supply/demand and abundance compared to gold/plat it may not rise as fast. JMO
Todays move , almost 5% including Asian trade ...may be playing catchup , I have been disappointed at how its been lagging until today
If the above doesn't occur, then no, I see no reason why silver will go down from here.
