Cheerios Sac Dollars

Anyone have an idea what the Cheerios Sac dollars in the packaging are bringing right now? I saw the one in a PCGS 66 holder sell on ebay, but haven't seen any raw ones on there. Thanks in advance.

    Hello, I am the seller of the MS66 Cheerios Sac from eBay. My coin was sold for 10K. I believe an original packaging Cheerios Sac may sell in the 6K-8K range but that is just my opinion. I purchased an ANACS MS68 Cheerios recently for 11K and the price still seems reasonable.

    I can't think of any reason to risk buying one raw when the packaging can be faked and the reverse of the coin isn't visible to verify the variety. Additionally I can't think of any good reason to sell one raw as you would be leaving money on the table because the strongest buyers will shy away from a raw coin and all the risks that involves.

    I expect a raw one to sell for between $1000 and $2000 and the real value is 3-5 times that much (if certified).

    As has been noted previously, original packaging will likely bring a real premium down the road. The obverse has a pretty characteristic polishing mark that has held up, as far as I know, on all specimans.

    Anyone know otherwise??

    I have been running a buy on our dealer-to-dealer network, COINNET, for another one in the original packaging at $6,000 without success.
    I have been offering $3,000 for a nice AU.

    These are scarcer than I thought or those that have them don't know what they have with a standing offer of over $6500. I think it should be in the national news and see them coming out of the woodwork. Somebody tell CNN how valuable these really are.
