POLL: 2007 Eagle Proof Gold Set - Will I ever get it??

I ordered a set of the 2007 Eagle Proof gold coins on 9/20/07, just before they were pulled for repricing. At that time they were backordered until 10/4/07. Every day as I check my order, the date is pushed back. As of today, they now sit backordered until 11/08/07 though the web site says "new" orders will ship on 10/29/07. Obviously the Mint would love for me to cancel my order at the lower price. Think I'll ever see these coins???

    I would not be surprised if you get it sometime next year. Technically they are minted to demand until the next one is available.

    I also ordered one set on the 20th. It says ship on 10/29/2007 as of today. good deal if we get them.image

    Are you sure about that? I had the impression that both Gold and Platinum American Eagle Proof Sets were produced per Mint projections, and then left on the website for sale as long as it took to sell them out. The gold sets usually sell out before the end of the year, but quite often, the Platinum Proofs don't sell out until Spring in the following year, if at all.
