Anyone esle a guinea pig for ebay's new search?

For the past few days, I've wondered what went drastically WRONG with the search.
THEN ...I see the "opt out" feature for their NEW search.
I can see how it could be useful for someone searching for a fur lined elephant foot ashtray, but one would think a huge company like eBay could figure out that COINS aren't a "suggestion" search.
It amazes me that they still haven't learned that coins are searched very SPECIFICALLY.

Russ, the "new" search goes to a page of ...sorta... related things.
F'rinstance, in the old search I could search "Eagles" under "Gold" and find them.
THIS time it was bringing up a taken back search to a wider search and brought up all sorts of ...eagles.
No similarity in appearance to the old search.
No option to search by date listed, highest, lowest.... nuttin.
Just a conglomerate of .... "eagle"... crap in case I wanted a new apron or sumpin.
The "opt out" took me right back to the conventional search page, but it was disconcerting and aggravating as it made me think I was going to have to configure all my stored searches as I did the first time.

Hate it! Cliked "opt out" button when I found it.

what is supposed to be the benefits of it???? i don't even bother trying it, i have more things to do than spend more time there.
I have no idea to search in titles and descriptions, I can't sort by price, and it I can't sort by BuyItNow...
You are doing well, subject 15837. You are a good person.
I guess the truth hurts... my comments were tame in comparison to what I saw.
here is what I posted:
It is high time that the folks running the show sit up and pay
attention to what the majority of EBAY Users, buyer and sellers is
saying. THE NEW SEARCH FEATURE IS AWFUL. How hard is it to
understand???
Nearly every single one of your upgrades and tweaks the
past 5 years has made this site MORE difficult to use and LESS user
friendly.
You are creating a perfect storm for a competitor to swoop in with a
BETTER more USER FRIENDLY site and kick you right in the nuts.
Its not rocket science, your pissing people off and they are going to
start looking to find other venues.

1) I've never seen the link to make comments, this time around or in any other test. I'm using an obsolete version of Java which I can't upgrade easily (it's a work machine), so I guess its possible that's why I'm not seeing it. If you are seeing it, by all means, trash them on my behalf.
2) I have my browser cookies to expire after every session, meaning each time I start up the browser I have to log back into sites such as this one. In every previous test, after I opted out, the next time I came to eBay after a restart it would look normal. This last time when everyone got opted in, the test mode became the default. So every day for the last two weeks I've had to opt out again.
But now this morning, I didn't have to opt out again to see the old version of the site. What I think that means is that eBay is backing off of cramming the test down everyone's throats.

<< <i>I posted my message on the Ebay community forums board, it was just removed... because it violate their "hate speech" policy...really? which minority did i defame? >>
The grossly incompetent? I agree that nearly every software improvement they've made, either to their website or to TurboLister, has been absolute crap. Not just in terms of quality of development, but in general usability. My guess is that there are entrenched morons in product specification and that anyone that's half-way decent in product development gets the hell out after waiting for whatever time looks best on their resume.
