    Nope.
I sold our PCGS MS69 set (86-2007) but still have about a dozen or so PCGS SAEs. None spotted.

the "spot review" is really a "Presidential Review" which is a fancy way of saying....US Airways...oops wrong forum. i don't understand why they can't move these through faster. it's part of their guarantee which was paid for when the coin was graded in the first place. ASE bullion does not take a rocket science degree in numismatic grading, yet they still say it has to pass through the president for review.

I have zero clout so mine keep getting bumped to the bottom of the pile (j/k) . I understand two months is a fair amount of time. I have contacted the gals at CS who are helpul in telling you that "it's still here" when it shows being shipped....

i have had about a 30% spot attrition on the regular proofs. under 10% on the MS and RP...all were stored "well" but not well enough. the NGC RP's that I have all look grand as well as the proofs and MS and were stored in a similar fashion.

funy thing is cracking an NGC slab is a simple process...the PCGS slab feels welded shut...i wonder if there is difference in how they handle coins between PCGS and NGC? (i'm gonna post this as a new thread)

40% of my PCGS MS69 ASE set developed spots. I broke them out, put them in a dansco with taco bell napkins between the pages. That'll teach 'em a lesson. image

I had a couple that were AT'ed and the spots still showed through. Just not milky.

The sad thing is that it is pretty much known it is a mint wash/planchet issue.
If the Mint would convince congress to stop ramming so many new coins down our throats, maybe the mint could take some time to figure out the issue. Shouldn't be that hard since they don't occur on many other silver issues......

I'll be happy if we can ever get back to 10, or so, coins per year with 1 commem, 1 of each bullion.
I hate the decision to do the presidential dollars and spouses. I hate the political idea to do the "native american" rotating design dollars. I am tired of the state quarters (though, I did like them for awhile).

I don't think we need the same design for 30-50+ years but I also don't think we need to be all PC about our coinage. I also don't think congress should allow anything like what they allowed virginia in claiming the nickel's design. That was total BS

I just wonder when PCGS is going to pull the plug on spot reviews.

How much can they absorb? Can they buy back all the Anniv. sets?

I think it's a matter of time before all the 20th Anniv. Sets start to milk, including mine

that were vacuum sealed the day I received them. No spots yet, time will tell.

I have a 20 ann. PF-70 that is going to NGC tomorrow. I will never collect silver eagles again cause no matter what in time it seems they will spot. Sold all my 20th's for good money so im happy just feel bad for the next owner that looks at them a year down the line and sees the milk lol.

Good idea Jerry, I agree with you.

You would think the research and development at the Slaughter House could figure it out.

As others have eluded to, the rinse and drying process seems to be the issue.
