I promise you that people on this board would be interested if you really have these cards. Here is what you need.

#1. You need some scans ready.
#2. You need an e-mail address
#3. if you can figure out how to turn your prive messgae feature on, that would help too.
#4. You need a paypal account and a US Mailing address
#5. You need to prove that you are legit by providing an alternate contact. (ex. Phone#, ebay ID, or other happy customers)

You don't have to post your phone # or ebay ID on the boards, but have it ready when you receive an e-mail or pm.

He also has a sweet opportunity in the congo where a banker frined of his had millions tied up in an account, and needs some money to flee the country. Once out he can retrive the money and he is going to split it all up amongst us investors

Do yourself a favor and post the cert #'s. You have a ton of money on the table with little information, which in turn makes your offerings suspect.

I've only ever posted 1 time here, the other 8003 posts were in the testing forum, so I don't really know what I'm doing.

She actually sent me an e-mail of some scans. They were about the size of a dime. I couldn't even read the cert #'s. They were of both Ruth's. I think she/he didn't realize that the people on the boards were very cautious and I THINK she's gone now. If she does have the cards, I assume she would've e-mailed me back after a week with larger scans.

I got an e-mail reply last weekend. It turns out that she lives about 45 minutes from me. I made an offer and said that I could readjust with scans and I never heard back.

I am taking a guess that she values the cards at more than their approximate value in those conditions
(my offer was around $5k, which I personally thought was very fair)

recently redid my basement and lo and behold when I ripped down the old paneling there were hundreds of what I think are cigarette cards behind the paneling.......

Did you offer $4800 for the lot of them minus a few cards? I was trying to help her sell them (I'm a sucker) and she told me she had that offer, I sent her some suggestions and never heard back.

I found it odd that in her initial post, she goes from 'knowing nothing' about this raw gift to psa holdered. Not that it couldn't happen that way, but normally when somebody knows 'nothing' about an old cards, you also don't know about psa or 3rd party grading. Also most folk not in the know will provide all the information possible to potential buyers. She didn't even provide the most basic info for these items that were 'worth a lot'.
