cheating and competitive eating

Does Nathans test these athletes for..... appetite stimulation? One time I ate a whole box of Cap'n Crunch in 30 minutes with no milk or water. I cannot confirm if the clear was present but a hot Bon Jovi momma made me cream. Drumk

  • I don't know if any of you watched the last hot dog competition but I almost died laughing when the announcer said. "We have a reversal!"

The reversal was Kobiashi's last hot dog. It was in, then reversed and came out...
  • If they're not banned -- and thus allowed -- it's not cheating

It's not about appitite. Remember, a box of cereal is about one pound. The hotdog and bun record is about 12 pounds. In 12 minutes. No matter what, their appitite is gone after two minutes, at that point it is simply about shoving it down your throat and hoping the stomach still has room

This is what the current champ does:

This summer, Chestnut's training regimen included drinking two gallons of warm water every morning to stretch his stomach; eating 40 dogs a day three days a week, and the day before he left for New York, he ate 54 dogs in a practice run.

Please tell me what the hell that video is. I stared at it for about two minutes and couldn't stop. Then I started laughing and now I feel bad and kind of confused...

Hot dog eating is a sport like soccer or baseball. Eating so many hot dogs is not healthy.

Not too long ago, on a radio show, there was a water drinking contest at some banquet sized place. Whoever drank the required water and waited to go to the bathroom the longest would win a substantial prize. There were two women remaining. One woman began to feel real bad and went home. Hours later, she passed away.

Drinking too much water like that is actually very very dangerous. There was a Plattsburgh, NY college student in 2003 who was in a frat hazing where they made him drink water until he could not longer do it. The kid died.

Plus a radio station had a contest for a Wii where a lady died drinking too much water. Not sure on the details of where and when.
