With Bob's unopened card show experiment not going exactly as planned, I helped out and bought a run of '80-'87 baseball and added a couple of '83 Donruss baseball and an '87 Topps Football pack.

I got the box and noticed....two free packs!

Thanks Bob for bringing back some memories with those '90-'91 & '91-'92 Upper Deck Hockey packs.

I also helped Bob out and bought a run and added two of the 87 Football packs. Pulled a few nice cards that I think I will send when we get the next $5 Baseball special.

Also pulled 4 submitable out of the Two Football packs and threw them in a submission that was waiting to be sent under the Football Special. Mailed them this afternoon and for the life of me can't remember what they were.

Isn't it fun getting old !!!!

Problem is, my scanner is on the fritz. So, I've got nothing but some nice words for Bob and a peek into what I got.

When I get my scanner working, I will add the scans in.

....all in all, fun to rip the run of Topps...but, didn't luck out at all. I thought that I would buck my unlucky trend with that '83 Donruss Boggs to start things off, but alas it was not meant to be on this one.

That's a bit strong IMO - not as much fun - yes. But worthless?

For one thing - I appreciated the fact that Arny picked up some of his stuff.

Second, I found it refreshing and generous - after a bad ordeal - that Bob included a couple of extra packs.

Now, I do agree - it's terribly dry sans the scanner.

The Boggs Donruss rookie is about nearly perfect left to right and about 75/25 or 70/30 top to bottom.

Half of the '83 Topps pack was centered very nicely.

Hey -

Thanks for posting guys. Glad a few decent stars and/or submittable cards were pulled. I'm tempted to open up the rest of the 83 Donruss packs. So far, only the Boggs arny pulled has been accounted for. I need the sandberg and gwynn for my RC's collection.

Highlight of the 1976 rack I broke...(strange collation, but nice cards I pulled 6 commons with decent shots at 10's also)

I bought a run of the packs from Bob also.....believe it or not they are still sitting unopened on my desk.....haven't had chance to open them yet....have been running back and forth to the hospital (mother just had hip replaced), I retired on October 3rd which led to more running around and then my son plays football. Hope to get to them this weekend and will scan those that are worthy.....
