10 centesimi from 1866?
I have an Italian(?)10 centesimi from 1866. The coin is in G-4 condition. THe obverse says "Vitorio Emanuele II Rey D'Italia. The reverse says 10 Centesimi inside a wreath. I only have the Kruase book from 1900- . Could somebody please place a value on this coin for me?

The Italian 1866 10 Centesimi coin might have a mint mark on the reverse side, under the date and the branch tie.
H (Birmingham 1893-94), N (Naples 1861-67), OM (Strasbourg 1866-67), or T (Turin 1861-67).
If there is no mint mark, it was minted in Paris between 1862 and 1866.
No mint mark = not listed.
H = $1.50 American in Fine Condition (Lowest condition that Krause 1801-1900 shows for these coins.)
N = $1.50
OM = $1.50
T = $1.50
Hope this helps.

They are very commonly found beaten to death and/or harshly cleaned, so if yours is not, and suffers only from enough honest wear to put it down to G4, I would put it at a little more than 25c. I sell these things like hotcakes in my 3/$1 bin, and those are the beat-up and cleaned ones.
To actually find one in the grades Krause lists (Fine and up) is the exception to the rule!
