  The obverse is not as much overexposed as the highlights are blown out. Moving the light or adding another should help take care of this problem. Also, check your white balance. You're going to have fun shooting with a real macro lens. Which one did you get?

  I got the Nikkor 105mm Micro. It is attahced to my d70 that I got only about a week ago. This is my first dslr.
  
  I agree on the extra light. I should have another in a day or two and hope that gets me where I want to be light wise.
