Ebay police pulled my 8 little auctions today................

Yesterday,On the front page of Numismatic News I saw that someone had found a DDR on the TJ $1 coin, I had some of the ones pictured raw ,So I threw a couple up on ebay (8) using a photo of the DDR-001 that I took myself,

In the description I put a file photo of mine of a TJ $1 coin OBV/REV and explained that the coin the winner would receive would be fresh from a BU roll........After they whacked the listings,

I called them and they said that I needed to post a obv and rev of each coin......so I said ok but can I use the same DDR-001 photo on each auction?...........NO....um...YES....NO...um...you can't use the same picture in more then 1 auction............I gave up and said thank you...

OK, so the jokers at Ebay are idiots. What else is new?

Seriously, they know nothing about what is legitimate and what isn't... Ignorant I suppose is a better perjorative... <sarcasm>But after all, they are just a venue...</sarcasm>

My business with eBay has come to a dead halt. I wouldn't care if they pulled the plug on my account, and I've had it since October of 1996. I'm one of their first 100,000 customers...and I would never use the place again. I think their policies borderline on illegal, and am just waiting for the right people to sue their butts for libel.

Coppercoins probably remembers my winning $25 from "Skippy" in the ebay chat room when I won a question and answer raffle and my account had a credit balance of over $25 for well over 5 years straight and suddenly when I decided to sell a couple of coins, ebay decided that they couldn't find why my account had a credit balance and unilaterally took away my $25 "skippy bucks."

I state with the truth: ebay stole money from me. I do not trust ebay.

Ebay: Go ahead and sue me. The truth is a proper defense from claimed libel.

  • the truth, so much with so little effort.

Why can't they see the light?
  • I don't understand why people selling a coin find it a hassle and act put out that they have to post a picture of the coin they are selling.
    Stock photos blow.

What do you mean you "called them"?

  • And just yesterday I noticed a seller had 4 dutch auctions going for groups of 5 '06 Reverse Proof ASEs. Each auction used the same pic and the text stated it was a stock photo. Guess it's not who you know, it's who you ****.

Yeah "powerscrewers" get to call and speak to a real person, they are always nice but seldom helpful, they have a nice way of telling you that you are wrong Ebay is right!

don't understand why people selling a coin find it a hassle and act put out that they have to post a picture of the coin they are selling.

I always try to take the best photos that i can of the obv/rev of the coins I list, In this case I used my own photo of the DDR-001, the obv/rev pics were just to show that it was a Jefferson $1 coin!

Look at the guys selling.....bags...boxes...rolls and coffee cans full of coins.....I don't see any obv/rev pics....are they going to pull all of those too?

Last but not least, how about Pre-sales......they sell "AIR".......image

I stopped selling on "flea-bay" because I got sick and tired of the never-ending policy changes and also I felt that, by putting items on their site, I was giving it away. Too much costs and time involved. I had my website already up and running and it was (and still is) cheaper. I will buy items there but I will no longer sell.
