Photo software help

Is there free software out there that is easy to stitch (I believe that is the term) two photos together into one. I need to put obv and ref together in one jpg. thanks, Jerry
PS I have photoshop elements if there is an easy way to do it there. thanks in advance.

I use it too..it's one of the best free pieces of software of any kind out there...
Make both pictures the same size then merge them. It is under the file window.
Here is how I make mine.

Great thread, pendragon. I use this basic technique, and can create a combined image in about 3 minutes. I use Photoshop CS.

One thing Photosuite is not so great at is reducing/expanding pictures by percentages, but I have learned to use Paint for that.
When I am here at work, and don't have my Photosuite, I use Paint for stitching obverses and reverses into a single image. It isn't that difficult. Paint is a really bare-bones tool, but it has its uses, and I think it is on most Windows computers. Go to your Start menu, click on All Programs, then Accessories, and Paint.
I hadn't heard of Irfanview before. That might be worth playin' around with.
But you've likely already got Paint on your computer, and with just a few minutes of fiddlin' around with it, you can learn a lot of basic photo editing techniques. (Very basic, but good enough for quick work).

Infanview is pretty easy. 1st time I have used it. I just need to figure out how to crop my photos now then create the side by side picture??
Never mind, figured it out.
