Thought for a minute it would be a P... now THAT would have been awesome... I dont think I've ever seen a 1927 P blast.... Clean cheek tells me 65... not many marks either so it is most likely a 66.
Gorgeous coin. Has the look of a 23. I'm on the fence between 64 and 65. I'm going to date-grade it 64, thinking there are smoe hairlines I can't see keeping it from 65.
The coin is currently graded at 65, but it screams 66 in hand. The obverse has only a few tiny hits at the nose and forehead and a very slight scuff in the left field. The reverse is a 66+ coin any day, all day long. The strike is the best I have seen on any Denver Peace dollar issue. I really think the coin deserves a higher grade and I'm not just saying that because it's my coin. I have several other MS66 coins in PCGS holders and I've seen many others, that don't even compare to this one. Twelve replies so far felt 66 was a possibilty.
Thanks for all the compliments.........and a big thanks to Mike's Coin Chest for selling her to me.
Nice looking coin. Looks like a upper 65, but with the nose, forehead, upper cheek and what looks like some minor friction in front of the mouth (and the $15k price difference) I would say in all likely hood it will stay in a 65 holder.

65 at least. 66 would not surprise me. The few scattered tics on the forehead and in the rays on the obverse headband would keep it from 66 in my book, but that is one helluva fine-lookin' Peace dollar, with nice luster. WTG!
