  • <<<They have a return policy. But for 5% and postage both ways you can return a coin you don't like. No doubt TT likes the free 5%.
The more they can relist the same coin before actually selling it, the more they make. Getting 5% on a $1000 or $10,000 coin adds up over time. In the old days I'd seen the same $5000 coin get auctioned as many as 6 times in a year. And each time a fresh bidder "assumes" it's a fresh coin as well.>>>

I just received a refund from them and there was no 5% return fee. It may have been due to the fact that I used paypal and in order for them to recieve credit for their fee, they had to refund 100% of the purchase price. Does anyone know if this is the reason?

I can't thank the dealer enough for dumping this one! image

  • The positives FAR outweigh any negatives. They are quite trustworthy.

The registered return requirement is not written in stone as it may appear. You can send your returns unregistered if you are willing to take the risk of loss.

If it gets lost, it's between you and the FEDS if you didn't use Reggie. That is all they are saying.

Please dont use TT if you are not comfortable w/them. (More for me!!)

I've never had any problems with them personally - as a buyer. But things like this make me wonder:

    1887 Rainbow MS-63 Morgan 'won' for $250

Same 1887 dollar up again in a future auction

I've also seen this same dollar 'won' before at $340 but I can't find it in the archives any more, but it was there not too long ago. Did someone actually 'win' this coin? Has it been returned that many times? It seems like more than just coin flipping is going on here. image

I've never had problem with them... buying or selling.

A quick glance through my keep list of coins I've purchased from them gives me a list of over 50 coins and probably 8K worth of buying and 5K worth of selling.

    Hope this helps!

You have pointed out one of their quirks that needs fixing:

If a coin is 'won' and subsequently returned for refund, it remains in their prices realized as a successful transaction, when in reality, it was not.image
