Should I sent it in for grading?

I have a nice 1834 quarter that I bought raw that I want to send in for grading. It has a lot of unusual characteristics but I am concerned about one thing. The obverse has a gray tone and seems to have more wear than the reverse. The reverse is almost bright and less worn. Is there a legitimate reason for this and do you think PCGS will bag it for that reason?

It is really hard to give an opinion based on just a description. A pic would be much more helpful.

I'm also a bit concerned when you say it has many unusual characteristics. That may not be good.

Just my opinion on what you have said without seeing the quarter.

The unusual characteristics are: 1. Die crack(s), 2. Doubling on the 25 C with no period and 3. Die rotation

I have never done this but I will try to attach a photo.

  • If the reverse is "shiny" it may have been polished or cleaned
