This is a classic coin without the crap and build-up on the surface, without the toning that you never know is real or not.

It all depends on what you do with the profit. In my case I don't need cash and have no better place to park my money then in these coins. I see these coins soaring in future years.
Purchased for $430, plus $5 shipping thats a 17.2% profit, minus 10% for Paypal, final value fee's, time spent, etc.....
I used 10% to keep it simple, probably more like 8.9%.
Your looking at a net profit of $25 + or - a few.
Like some maintan a profit is a profit.

Coinboy, how do you figure the government screws you each and every day. The government provides services for our tax dollars one of which is protection from other governments. This allows you to practice capitalism and the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness. Now if you lived in Syria, Iran, Iraq, USSR, Afghanistan or any number of other countries, you might have a legitimate gripe. Is the glass half full or half empty?
One small and brief example:
No Federal Employee is enrolled in the Social Security System.
No Mint Employee,
No Senator, no Congressman. NO ONE.
They get a much better system than you will ever dream of..... And you and me pay for it.

It all balances out Coinboy, believe me. I work for a federal agency and I make a sacrifice for my country every time I get my paycheck. I could be making MUCH MUCH more working in the private industry. I just graduated college in May and am watching my friends and classmates with the same degree (who had worse grades than I did) make nearly double my annual salary in the private industry. Luckily, I love my job everyday and take pride in it, so that is a sacrifice I am willing to make. The better benefits I receive as a federal employee NOWHERE near compensate for the difference in pay I receive. What does compensate for the difference is that my job is like a dream. That's just my two cents at least.

There is no gun to your head! Go find a job outside of Govt. and avoid that big "Sacrifice" if you are NOT happy!
However, I can gauarantee you that the days of matching pension contributions ONLY exsist in the Federal Govt.
The days off, the comp package you get exceeds anything in private industry. It is a plain fact.
I'm not jealous, I just don't like paying for it when everyone who does not work for the Fed does NOT get the same deal.

My brother-in-law laughs all the way to the bank on his way camping because he can just work 4 days a week for Uncle.

You admit this on a public forum.
Some people on this forum were cancelled, because they tried to do the same as you. (Greedy)
Some people got shut out because they ordered too late. (late)
Some people just accepted the limits and got two. (Honest)
Is it any wonder that people are not buying your, "I deserve more than you!" attitude?
Open all of the coins, take some medication (If you don't have any, see any Doctor) and enjoy looking at those gold coins. Consider yourself lucky that the Mint Police aren't knocking at your door.

edited for Darkmane: The two best things about teaching are July & August. I taught for 21 years, 182 days/yr, 4hours/day. No $, great benefits and quite satisfying.

None of the additional coins are in my name. Friends and Relatives bought as a favor.

I am sorry my comment was of little real value to you. But that is simply an opinion of yours. Enjoy the coins, don't flip them, you might make a pretty good collector. No need to resort to name calling.

Sigh... it seems that you are quite an emotional person. I never said there was a gun to my head, and I definitely never said that I am not happy. In fact, I specifically said that I love my job and take pride in it. Of course the comp package exceeds that of the private industry, but it all evens out with the paycheck received in the private industry (as long as they wisely invest for retirement). I am a federal employee and I still have to make payments to social security, just like everyone else. I am not going to complain that I am paying for your retirement in the same way that you are complaining about paying for mine. You also pay my salary as well, just be happy that it is a lot lower than it could be. Don't try to belittle the job that government employees do, just because they are not fighting overseas. I have the utmost respect for our soldiers, and there is plenty of work to be done at home as well.
