The reverse is outstanding,and struck well.If I was grading just the reverse I would give it a 7.There's some chatter on the shoulder that may keep it from going 6. 65RD. Super nice coin.
Pretty coin. The only thing that I can see "wrong" with it are some left-over planchet marks on the shoulder, which is odd since the area behind that on the reverse is well struck. I'd grade it 65RD, if the shoulder was just a little cleaner I could even justify a 66.

dorkkarl, the color is typical of a lot of pre-1930's lincoln that have a more golden bronze look than copper red. It's just a product of the alloy mixture that varied slightly during production from what I've read. The color is even on both sides and the luster is superb. My pictures don't quite capture how shiny this coin is. The strike adds a lot to this coin too. Very nice beard details on this one.
