That is one sweet box. The label looks crisp and well centered.

With that white out though I think it will never make a BS70.

There are "label doctors" out there that will make it look like it has never been touched.

I think PBGS (Professional Box Grading Service) would still holder it.

Looks like a mint error to me with 4 clipped sides that give it a rectangle look,it has to be very rare.

Sweet looking box, if you soak it in acetone, it will remove the white out and then (after carefully rinsing and drying) you might get a 70, but I doubt it.

Argh, I just missed the FedEx guy; I'll have to go down this evening to pickup my proof and unc. Stupid Mint site didn't show that it had been shipped until sometime this morning after I had already checked it.

My check mark disappeared but I had no idea my proof was here until FEDEX drove up. I opened mine since I don't play the first strike game. The way the mint has been I'd be concerned that the coin was damaged or missing so I wouldn't want to send it blindly to PCGS.
One thing for sure on the proof it would be a SHAME to slab this one, this is the best package I've seen from the mint in decades. It's a keeper!image

The funny thing is that my credit card has yet to be charged. Is it normal to receive the coin before you see that hit on the card???

Still haven't got that rinse formula down at the mint. They are getting worse.

That would be a great looking sample for my "Box Registry Set". Too bad it has milk spots all over the label! Is that a First Strike label I see or a regular white label? image

You received it at 10:05 a.m., did you have to sign, or did they leave it?

    How are things in Caldwell?

Are you going to open it?

I have to second this! The colors are all wrong for a box of this type.
