Is it worth it to have an eBay Store?

With a few recent threads discussing the pros and cons of having a website, I thought I would start a new post here discussing the pros and cons of an eBay Store. I myself have thought about an eBay Store, but so far I haven't done it. I read once some of their fees, etc and decided at that time it wasn't probably worth it.
Please share with us what you think are the pros and cons for an eBay Store. For example, do you need a large number (ie: >100 items) in your store to make it worth while? How much are the fees? Do they drop down for certain levels?
Do you think an eBay Store with 1,000 items price between $1 - $50 is worth it? Or maybe the eBay Store is more suited for only 100 items priced over $100 each.

Store Inventory format basic fees
As an eBay Store owner, you'll have access to an additional listing format called Store Inventory format. Use this format to list your items at a set price, so buyers can purchase items immediately (no bidding). These listings have a longer duration and lower Insertion Fees but have limited visibility compared to the Online Auction and Fixed Price formats. If your item sells, you also pay a Final Value Fee.
Note: Store Inventory listings appear in your Store with other regular Online Auction and Fixed Price listings. They also appear in certain circumstances on eBay.com search results pages.

I sold a good amount through it, but the fees ate up a lot.
