I voted once for each because I couldn't decide.
  • I vote for donating them to science, if there is anything left after all the roids, it has to be some kind of miracle. Oh, you're talking about the baseball, don't really care.
  • "How come we haven't started talking about this peace 'o crap yet?"

I voted to sell the ball and hire a spelling teacher for you, Jeff.

I mean, how many Bonds threads is it going to take to get all that pent up hatred for this guy out of your system?

  • No asterisk and to the hall...using the 'asterisk' mentality Maris' 61st HR ball would have been asterisked because he did it in 162 games. Leave the asterisk off it and let those who view the ball have their own discussions about it...let the fathers explain to their kids the era and the context of what happened.
  • I went to High School with Marc Ecko, the winner of the ball

I just read the article in the NY Post today, i never realized he was the winner of the ball

Man if i had only known back then he was going to be a multi-millionaire lol

  • If I had the time I'd say hall, if they sent the ball into space it may come back as space junk! Times change- who knows in 100 years maybe better life thru chemicals will be the order of the day. Along with Laser eye surgery, Ritalin, ect, ect. Grow up and get over it. You act like your heroes would never cheat. LOL spitballs? cheating? greenies? cheating? 50 years of racism 1900-1950 cheating? cocaine- cheating or just stupid? LOL I bought a signed baseball auto'd by gaylord perry.....lol I typed gaylord and the sig was smeared. Oh well.

  • I vote we send it to space, let the guy spend another million just to send it there....

His ball would make World History the first baseball to be knocked into space!

His ball would be more famous than the HOF.

  • Asterick. Just a shame for baseball that he broke the record as a result of juicing. By the way----a complete a**hole.
  • HOF/bestow it.

I didn't submit my vote, as I hate junk mail.

think of how much the originator of the "vote" is going to profit, selling all the haters' emails!!

MetalMike you never put it better. When people like Gaylord Perry and other people were accused of cheating back in the day I guess thats acceptable. "That funny spit baller Gaylord". Let me make it perfectly clear I do not like Barry Bonds and did not want him to break any record cheating or not but I find a strange double standard between cheating in the 60's 70's and using performance enhancing drugs today. May be a race issue, changing of the times, or the global media coverage we have today. If find on clear answer. This "What to do with the ball" by Mr. Ecko is a meer media stunt to sell a few extra shoes.

Write in Vote-Cut it up, put on cards
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • asterisk* then insert it into barry's rectum... then launch both into deep space image
  • No asterisk, no allowing people's irrational emotions to affect history.

Using biased emotions to affect pieces of history is ridiculous....the same emotions would have asterisked Maris' 61st HR ball...asterisked Aaron's 715th....it goes on and on. When we begin to allow our personal feelings to affect history, it's time to step back and realize that history will write itself, that we should simply step back and let it happen.

Attempting to inflect your own personal feelings on the matter is trivial and petty.
