To Wreck or Not To Wreck this VAM

OK. I cherried this 1923 VAM-2 (Top-50 Doubled Tiara) a while back. Didn't notice until later that some polytheist had carved an S in the motto before WE. Anyway, the thread on ANACS problem tags made me consider trashing this coin in as many ways possible to give ANACS a challenge fitting them all on the tag.

I got the graffiti handled already. Here ae the things I thought I might do to it.

- file the rims
- put it in a vise; hammer a bend in it and restraighten it with a hammer
- scratch up the reverse
- whiz DMPL fields on the obverse
- tone it in clown colors
- polish the eagle with a dremel
- drill a 1/16" hole through Liberty's eye
- hammer the rim flat under the date

The question is: Should I? And if so, any more good ideas? I'll submit it with other VAMs at Long Beach. Will get the attribution on it too. Really cramp that space on the tag.

    Don't forget to heat it up and warp it, then they will have to make a special thick holder for it!

    Before you do that,check the left wing on the reverse for that little tear drop die break.Vam 2A much scarcer.Then go for it.image

    Do all that and bury it 18 inches deep in a local park, next to a tree. Tell the folks here what city your in, and drive the metal detector guys crazy.

    Dang. I hate to destroy an otherwise good coin.

    Either colorize it or commission someone to turn it into a hobo dollar.
